Music 499 B: Proseminar

PROJECT-ORIENTED COMPUTER MUSIC

(Spring 2014)



This seminar is open to students of any background who have an interest in Computer Music. The Proseminar is dedicated to concrete Computer Music applications developed by the participants. Individual or group projects may be selected from the following categories:

Software presently under development in the Computer Music Project to which participants might want to contribuite is DISSCO (Digital Instrument for Sound Synthesis and Composition), a project involving computer-assisted (algorithmic) composition, sound synthesis, and a user graphic interface.

Weekly meetings will also serve to discuss related techniques and/or software and new ideas in sciences which might be applied to music.

The Experimental Music Studios of the University of Ilinois Computer Music Project equipment will be available to the participants.
